The breakout- The breakout is a counter attack move to get the puck out of our defensive zone and into neutral ice.
D- The Defenseman reads the ice and carries the puck to the side with the fewest opposition players.
C- the center reads the defenseman and curls to the side the defenseman is traveling, skating at the speed of the defenseman.
W- the wing gets to the boards and places his/her backside against the boards looking for a pass.
The Defenseman passes to the open man and all players explode to escape the zone. The Defenseman

Shooting Drill for Goalie Movement
Player C starts with puck passes to player A and starts skating, receives a return pass from A and skates around Player A with puck control, then passes to Player B who receives and returns a pass to player C. Player C then shoots. Player C shoots depending on what the Coach is asking for, carry the puck, setup slap shot, wrist shot, sweep shot, spin around a backhander, or one-timer. Reverse drill and run from other side of the rink.
Goalie: Start on the near post, move out to top of crease on the pass to player A adjust position for return pass to skating player C. Adjust position with Player C until pass to Player B follow pass to player B and cover post depending on player B's position. Cheat a peek at Player C and attack C (setup high crease) on pass from A. This is a lot of continuous movement for the goalie, early in the season attempt to save 3 out of 5 shots, after 5 shots get out of goal and critique your play with the coach.
